Less than 24 hours into owning my very own N-Strike Elite RapidStrike CS-18 and that orange stripe was bugging me. According to my fans on Facebook, my feelings were more than confirmed about this subject. So I quickly taped up, repainted, touched up, and finished what Nerf should've done in the first place.
That's a "Paint-adjusted" RapidStrike CS-18... the way it SHOULD be! More photos of the RapidStrike on my Facebook Page for Tactical Tag, too!
So I've purchased, done some pic spam, made a quick video review, and already repainted part of this blaster. Just having a good ol' time with this new rifle!
That is much better. There is a bit too much orange on there with the base paint.
ReplyDeleteIs there any white at all on the blaster in it's stock form?
ReplyDeleteNope. There's a light gray that's used on the stock and the Nerf logo on the sides, but no white on the Stock blaster.
DeleteJust another question... have you ever sen an Elite blaster shoot 75 feet?
ReplyDeleteAngled shots, yes. Though with a few simple modifications, you can get 'em shooting 75 feet flat no problem. Put a stronger spring, removed the AR, and improved the seal on my Retaliator and MAN is it a deadly little blaster!
DeleteMan, I wasn't too bothered by the orange, but seeing this I might have to repaint my own!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful with the white.
Yeah, the orange strip in spite of being a bright color makes the blaster just look too dark.
ReplyDeleteI want to repaint that stripe as white as well. What kind of paint did you use on the Rapidstrike?
ReplyDeleteJust Krylon Fusion. Works great
DeleteThe white stripe really should of been there in the first place like you said. Most of the other elite blasters have a white stripe. On the boxing art for the NERF App Cradle Mission Kit it has the App Cradle on a white striped Rapid Strike! I wouldn't be surprised that Hasbro was originally going to do a white stripe.
ReplyDeleteWould acrylic paint work when painting on the stripe?
