NERF ZombieStrike HammerShot Review

Zombies have invaded the Nerf Aisle!  It's a good thing you've got a quick-draw 5-shot Revolver-style blaster with "Real Hammer-priming Action!"  ... or something like that!  The HammerShot, for Nerf's ZombieStrike lineup, is a great blaster that combines simple one-handed priming with powerful range in a compact pistol design.

Check out my quick video review of this great little blaster after the jump!

  1. They went for the green for "more visibility" in darker lighting.

  2. A nice thing about these is that you can holster them in any surplus MOLLE pouch that you can fit two magazines in next to each other; no need for a fancy, purpose-bought holster for these like with a lot of other pistol-type blasters or a poor fit like with the Strongarm and the same size (fits in the same space but you need two hands to holster it).

  3. Will it fire suction darts and whistlers?

    1. So far as my experience with it has gone, it'll fire anything that doesn't physically interfere with the rotation of the barrels, including Buzz Bee darts (which are ALL suction), X-shot darts (also all suction but terrible) and taggers, but as with most newer stuff will NOT fire streamlines due to the dart post.

    2. Don't know about the Suction darts as I don't have any but as for the whistler dart, like a beast:) If they still made them I'd exclusively use them on these just for the ominous whistling sound as they go down range.

    3. Whistlers would "alert" zombies, so, nope.

  4. Think these will replace the centurion as the unofficial flagship blaster of this release in the air blaster area. Got a pair of them & they are awesome. Would be cool to see someone do up a El Douche rig & walk into a HVZ/Nerf War with 6 of them at the ready (cigar & big white beard optional).
